Mars, PepsiCo, and ADM Launch Regenerative Ag Program in Poland

Mars, PepsiCo, and ADM have joined forces to launch a regenerative agriculture program in Poland. The initiative, covering 5,454 hectares, aims to improve soil health, water management, and reduce reliance on synthetic inputs. This project supports 24 farmers and benefits pet care brands like WHISKAS and PEDIGREE, as well as snack brands such as Lay's and Doritos.

The program, which began in Western Poland, focuses on regenerative wheat and rapeseed production. Mars is supporting regenerative wheat across 3,359 hectares, while PepsiCo is advancing sustainable rapeseed cultivation across 2,160 hectares. ADM serves as an implementation partner, providing financial and technical resources for the transition to regenerative practices.

The companies are working with farmers, offering training, guidance, and financial incentives. Practices such as conservation tillage and cover cropping are being integrated into rotational agriculture. The Cool Farm Tool will be used for detailed data collection and impact measurement.

The initiative, supporting 24 farmers, is designed to tackle the climate impacts of the agricultural supply chain. By strengthening soil health and improving water management, the project aims to enhance agricultural resilience and reduce reliance on synthetic inputs. This collaborative effort benefits not only the farmers but also the pet care and snack brands involved.
