Mersive Technologies obtains SOC 2 Type I and II Security Verification

Mersive Technologies, a leading provider of wireless collaboration and digital signage solutions, has announced that its system is compliant with the applicable HIPAA Security Rule requirements. The company has also received SOC 2 and SOC 3 reports, confirming its commitment to data security.

The SOC 2 report, issued by BARR Advisory, P.A., affirms that Mersive Technologies has successfully managed the controls in place over the selected Trust Services Criteria developed by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) for effective data management. The criteria include security, confidentiality, and availability, which are crucial for protecting sensitive information and ensuring system reliability.

The SOC 3 report, similar in scope but shorter, allows for more general distribution. Both reports provide assurance to existing or potential customers about the effectiveness of controls used by Mersive Technologies to process their information.

Mersive Technologies' chief product officer and CISO, Alan Young, stated that the reports inspire confidence and assure customers and partners that data security is a top priority for the company. He also congratulated the Mersive team on cementing its commitment to cybersecurity best practices, with Julie Mungai, senior manager of attest services at BARR Advisory, echoing his sentiments.

The SOC 2 and SOC 3 reports document various aspects of Mersive Technologies' data management practices. These include how the organization protects system access and data confidentiality, the implementation of security policies, incident response, and monitoring, controls ensuring system availability and uptime reliability, risk assessments, and vendor management strategies. For HIPAA compliance, the reports may also address safeguards for administrative, physical, and technical protections of protected health information (PHI).

In addition to the SOC 2 and SOC 3 attestations, Mersive Technologies has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Certification, demonstrating its adherence to international information security management standards. The company's system is also protected against unauthorized access (both physical and logical), and personal information is collected, used, retained, disposed of to meet the entity's objectives.

Overall, Mersive Technologies' SOC 2 and SOC 3 reports show that the company has effective controls over the security, confidentiality, and availability of its wireless collaboration and sharing solution. The reports, however, are confidential and shared under a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), so the precise compliance details and scope cannot be provided here. For detailed information, one would typically obtain these reports directly from Mersive or through their compliance or sales channels.
