Mini's Electric & ICE Countryman Get 5-Star ANCAP Safety Rating
Mini's electric and internal combustion engine (ICE) Countryman models have received a five-star ANCAP safety rating, with impressive scores in various categories.
The Mini Cooper E and Countryman models have demonstrated exceptional safety performance. The Countryman scored 81% in Vulnerable Road User Protection and 84% in Safety Assist, while the Cooper E scored 77% and 83% respectively in these categories. Both models achieved high scores for Adult Occupant Protection, with the Cooper E scoring 89% and the Countryman scoring 86%. Child Occupant Protection was also strong, with the Cooper E scoring 83% and the Countryman scoring 86%.
The latest ANCAP tests revealed that the visual indicators for ISOFIX child seat installation in the Cooper E were obscured, making the process more challenging. However, the Countryman had no such issues and performed well in all safety aspects, including ISOFIX safety devices.
Mini's commitment to safety is evident in the five-star ANCAP ratings for both the Cooper E and Countryman models. Despite a minor issue with ISOFIX indicators in the Cooper E, both models offer robust protection for adult and child occupants, as well as excellent safety assist features. BMW, the manufacturer of the electric Countryman, can be proud of these impressive safety results.
