Minsktrans Revolutionizes Public Transport: Free Express Routes, Cashless Payments, and Reduced Fares

Minsktrans has announced significant changes to its public transport system. Passengers can now enjoy free access to express and rapid routes using multi-use tickets for suburban buses No323 and 429. Additionally, cashless payments are being trialed on bus route No1, with the 'Belkart Pay' app offering quick and cost-effective transactions.

The government of Belarus is implementing a unified payment system for public transport, starting with Minsk. This project, named 'Belkart', aims to streamline ticketing and reduce waiting times. Passengers can use Belarusbank cards and Belkart payment system cards for cashless payments on bus route No1.

In another development, Minsktrans has reduced fares for suburban buses No323 and 429. From October 1, the cost per kilometer on these buses will be 11 cents. The fare from Atolino to 'Слуцкiй Гostiнец' metro station has been set at Br1.28. Moreover, passengers with multi-use tickets for these routes can use express and rapid routes for free, further incentivizing public transport use.

These changes, including the introduction of cashless payments and reduced fares, are set to enhance the convenience and affordability of public transport in Minsk. The 'Belkart Pay' app offers a swift and cost-effective solution for transactions, while the fare reductions on suburban buses No323 and 429 aim to encourage more people to use these services.
