New Design and Fresh Direction Unveiled for Aquila 50 Yacht

New Aquila 50 Yacht Debuts with Explorer Aesthetic

The Chinese-American powercat specialist, Aquila, has launched a new yacht called the Aquila 50 Yacht. This 50-foot luxury power catamaran combines explorer-style design with comfortable offshore performance.

Dimensions

  • The Aquila 50 Yacht boasts a LOA of 52ft 2in (15.90m), a BEAM of 25ft 6in (7.76m), and twin Volvo Penta D6 480s as engines.

Engines and Power

  • The engines provide power to achieve strong cruising and good offshore performance. Typically, the Aquila 50 Yacht is equipped with twin engines totaling around 760 hp (2x380 hp), though higher performance variants can have up to 1100 hp with Yanmar 550 hp engines.

Layouts and Accommodation

  • The standard configuration includes three cabins, three heads compartments, and a utility room, accommodating up to 6 guests comfortably. An alternative layout will be available, offering four cabins, four bathrooms, and optional captain's quarters, which is likely to be favored by the charter market.

Features and Amenities

  • The Aquila 50 Yacht is packed with luxury features, including navigation and safety equipment such as autopilot, generator, GPS plotter, bow thruster, and inverter. Comfort and convenience come in the form of a flybridge, bimini, washing machine, BBQ grill, outside shower, sun pads, and more. Entertainment systems include inside and outside speakers, water toys, snorkel sets, and a bathing platform.

Design

  • The Aquila 50 Yacht features a bold new "explorer aesthetic", although it is unclear if this is the main focus of the design changes. Initial renders show a pronounced elevation in the forward gunwale line, which is likely to create extra volume for the full-beam owner's cabin. The yacht also boasts much deeper hull windows than any other yacht in the Aquila fleet, which should result in a brightly lit owner's cabin.

Top Speed and Release Date

  • Specific top speed details for the Aquila 50 are not yet available, nor is the potential price or release date. For precise top speed figures or detailed layout options beyond the standard 3-cabin setup, contacting Aquila directly or viewing official brochures is recommended.

Meanwhile, at the 2023 Boot Duesseldorf Boat Show, the Frauscher 1414 Demon boat is being showcased. This boat offers a unique layout, with the main deck lacking a main deck helm, but the flybridge providing a sociable central helm, a starboard wet bar, and a port dinette and sun lounger. The Frauscher 1414 Demon boat's aft cockpit interacts with an L-shaped aft galley, and the forward part of the saloon is given over to a big port dinette. The boat's flybridge can be specced with a hardtop for the integration of a large solar array.
