Nissan's Ariya vehicle orders spring open following surprisingly affordable Australian pricing reveal
The much-anticipated Nissan Ariya electric SUV is set to hit Australian roads at the beginning of September 2025. With order books already open since August, the electric vehicle (EV) is poised to make a strong impact in Australia’s growing EV market, aiming to compete with the likes of the Tesla Model Y and BYD Sealion 7.
Pricing for the Ariya starts at $55,840 plus on-road costs for the base Engage model. This translates to a driveaway price of around $60,731 in Victoria. The top-tier Evolve e-4ORCE model will set you back $71,840 plus on-road costs.
The Ariya comes in four variants: Engage, Advance, Advance+, and Evolve e-4ORCE. Each offers a unique blend of equipment and powertrain upgrades.
The base Engage trim features a drive mode selector with Eco, Standard, and Sport modes, 19-inch alloy wheels, and a range of modern conveniences such as automatic dual-zone climate control, a leather-accented multifunction steering wheel, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment and 12.3-inch digital driver display. It also boasts wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto, a wireless phone charger, intelligent cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, and a 750kg braked towing capacity.
The Advance variant, priced at approximately $64,000, adds more luxury and technology upgrades. It includes a Windscreen Head-Up Display, a hands-free automatic opening power tailgate, a Bose® 10-speaker premium sound system, and an Intelligent Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection. The Advance variant also offers a braked towing capacity of 750kg.
The Advance+ and Evolve variants feature a larger 87 kWh battery pack, enabling a range of up to 504 km in the single-motor Advance+ variant and up to 385 km in the smaller battery model. The Evolve variant offers up to 1,500 kg of braked towing, compared to 750 kg on the other variants.
The top-spec Evolve features a 320 kW AWD powertrain, capable of 0-100 km/h in 5.6 seconds. The powertrains deliver up to 160 kW of power in the entry-level variants, with the Advance+ having a larger 178 kW motor.
The Nissan Ariya electric SUV is equipped with a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, a 12.5-inch driver screen, and will be available later this year with features such as "Follow Me Home" headlights and ambient illumination inside.
The Ariya will be Nissan's second major electric model in Australia, two years after its initial display, marking the Japanese carmaker's commitment to the Australian EV market. The Ariya's Advance variant also includes heated front seats and a heated steering wheel, ensuring comfort for both driver and passengers.
