Nothing Phone 3 teaser unveiled, potentially ditching a notable characteristic

Nothing Announces Upcoming Launch of the Phone 3

sources revealed that the long-awaited Nothing Phone 3 is set to launch in July, and the company has provided tantalizing hints regarding the device's innovative design and features. In a departure from previous models, the iconic glyph lighting system will no longer be a feature of the Phone 3.

Two recently posted teasers on Nothing's social media platform showcase subtle details of the upcoming handset's design. One teaser features the phrase "it's all in the details," accompanied by a close-up shot of an unidentified detail on the back of the device. The second teaser highlights a change in the handset's aesthetic, stating that the Phone 3 will be free of the glyph lighting system traditionally found on Nothing devices.

The Nothing Phone 2, launched in 2023, was delayed for a 2024 launch due to the company's focus on getting the onboard software and AI integrations right. Now that the software enhancements have been achieved, according to Nothing, the Phone 3 is expected to launch in July.

Sources hinted that the Nothing Phone 3 would lean heavily on AI technology, much like many smartphones in 2025. The handset is expected to be well-specced and capable of offering a top-tier performance, potentially securing a spot on our best smartphones list.

The Nothing Phone 3a and Phone 3a Pro, introduced in March, were well-received, but it has been some time since the company launched a flagship device. As a result, anticipation for the Phone 3 is high.

The Phone 3 is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, sports a 6.77-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, and comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It is also rumored to boast a triple-camera setup featuring a 50MP primary sensor, and a 32MP front camera.

Additionally, the Phone 3 is expected to feature deeper AI-driven features, such as personalized user experiences, smarter voice commands, context-aware UI suggestions, camera enhancements, and AI-powered battery optimization and system resource management.

It was previously reported that the Phone 3 would undergo a design overhaul, featuring a more premium build with a glass back and metal frame, as well as a cleaner, minimalist aesthetic without glyph lighting elements.

This marks a significant departure for Nothing, which has relied on the glyph lighting system as a defining feature of its handsets. It remains to be seen what other surprises the Phone 3 has in store for consumers. Further information and official teasers will undoubtedly be revealed in the lead-up to the much-anticipated launch of the Nothing Phone 3.
