PA32QCV Monitor Shines in HDR Testing with Calman Software

Portrait Displays' Calman software, renowned for its display calibration and color accuracy verification, is used in HDR testing. The PA32QCV monitor, developed by a leading provider, stands out with exceptional HDR performance.

The PA32QCV boasts superior HDR brightness and contrast compared to typical IPS monitors. It automatically supports HDR10 signals and, with dynamic dimming enabled, delivers a stunning contrast ratio of nearly 10,000:1. Our HDR benchmarking, using Calman software, reveals a Sequential Contrast of 9,771.3:1, achieved with an HDR White Luminance of 644.9141 nits and an HDR Black Level of 0.0660 nit.

The PA32QCV's HDR performance is further enhanced by its accurate grayscale and EOTF tracking. Users can choose from three PQ options, each offering a slightly different luminance curve. However, the monitor's color rendering in HDR is slightly muted, with some undersaturation in both DCI-P3 and BT.2020 color gamuts.

The PA32QCV, with its impressive HDR brightness, contrast, and accurate tracking, is a strong contender in high-end monitors. Despite minor color rendering limitations, it offers an excellent HDR viewing experience.
