The Italian marque Pagani has unveiled an open-top version of its second model, the Codalunga, which first debuted in 2022 as a coupe. The latest addition to the Pagani family, the Codalunga Speedster, is a rare and exclusive hypercar, with production limited to just 10 units.

The Speedster closely resembles the coupe but without a roof, featuring an extended aerodynamic tail and a distinctive six-exit exhaust system. To cater to unfavorable weather conditions, the car comes equipped with a deployable roof that folds neatly into the vehicle when not in use. For those who prefer a fixed roof, an optional hardtop with a large glass panel covering the engine is also available.

Under the hood, the Codalunga Speedster retains the celebrated V-12 engine from its coupe counterpart, powered by an AMG-sourced 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged engine producing 852 hp and 811 ft lbs of torque. The car is notable for offering a manual transmission option, making it only the second Huayra to do so.

The chassis utilises a combination of Carbo-Titanium HP62-G2 and Carbo-Triax HP62 composites for a lightweight yet rigid monocoque structure. The suspension is a forged aluminium alloy double-wishbone design with variable-rate springs and coaxial shock absorbers, ensuring a smooth ride. The car is equipped with Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes and monolithic Avional forged wheels fitted with high-performance Pirelli Trofeo R tires for optimal performance.

Inside, the cockpit is highly artisanal, with hand-stitched leathers, solid-milled metals, mahogany accents, and elaborate embroidery inspired by Pagani’s quad-exhaust motif. The unique embroidered fabric can be found on the seats, center console, and door panels, showcasing the extreme craftsmanship that goes into each Pagani vehicle.

Considering the reported £7 million price of the original Codalunga, it is expected that the open-top version will be just as expensive, if not more. The estimated price for the Codalunga Speedster is around £6 million, placing it well above other Pagani models such as the Utopia (£2.2 million) and the Huayra BC Roadster (£3.35 million).

Deliveries of the Codalunga Speedster are scheduled to begin in 2026, with the car debuting publicly during Monterey Car Week 2025. This exclusive hypercar promises to be a thrilling ride for its fortunate owners, offering a unique blend of power, craftsmanship, and exclusivity.

The Codalunga Speedster, with its extended aerodynamic tail and distinctive six-exit exhaust system, showcases a fusion of lifestyle and technology, as it incorporates cutting-edge technological components while maintaining a distinct, artisanal interior. Additionally, the Codalunga Speedster, boasting a V-12 engine, manual transmission option, and high-performance sports tires, merges the realms of sports and cars, delivering an exhilarating driving experience.
