Pinterest and TikTok are emerging as popular product discovery platforms for Generation Z shoppers, reveals a PartnerCentric study. Pinterest, in particular, is enhancing its shopping experience with new features.

Pinterest is introducing 'where-to-buy' links in its image ads, allowing users to shop directly from multiple retailers with products in stock. Preliminary tests showed these links boosted user engagement and campaign performance compared to external landing pages. This feature will roll out to U.S. advertisers in the coming weeks.

Pinterest has also partnered with Instacart to offer shoppable ads. Users can now buy products directly from Pinterest ads via Instacart. To improve product discovery, Pinterest has upgraded its visual search experience and AI, transforming into an AI-enabled shopping assistant. Additionally, Pinterest is collaborating with companies like Instacart Ads and Kroger Precision Marketing to enhance advertising campaigns and measure success.

Pinterest is expanding its role as a shopping platform. With 'where-to-buy' links, shoppable ads, and improved AI, Pinterest is connecting inspiration to action, offering new ways for brands to grow and measure success.
