Qatar Airways has surpassed its initial goal of fitting 12 Boeing 777s with Starlink by the end of 2024. The airline successfully equipped 15 aircraft with the high-speed internet system in just 55 days. The first flight using this technology took off from Hamad International Airport in Doha to Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).

The Toronto-Doha route, launched on December 12, 2023, operates three times weekly on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Qatar Airways is the first airline to equip Boeing 777s with Starlink technology, providing seamless connectivity for passengers mid-flight. The airline initially planned to install Starlink on 12 Boeing 777-300s by the end of 2024, but it managed to complete 15 aircraft ahead of schedule.

Qatar Airways has successfully installed Starlink high-speed internet on 15 of its Boeing 777 aircraft, enhancing passenger experience on its flights to Toronto and beyond. The airline's commitment to technological innovation sets a new standard for in-flight connectivity.
