Rangsons & Optimare Team Up to Develop Advanced Pollution Monitoring Systems for India's Maritime Agencies

Rangsons Aerospace and Optimare India have joined forces to develop and produce advanced Pollution Monitoring/Surveillance Systems (PMS/PSS) for India. This long-term collaboration aims to establish a sustainable, home-grown pollution monitoring capability for India's maritime guarding agencies.

The partnership brings together a diverse range of companies and institutions, including RWE Offshore Wind, BioConsult SH, and the Helmholtz Institute for Functional Marine Biodiversity (HIFMB). They will work together in the SeaMe research project, focusing on offshore windpark ecosystem monitoring using autonomous drones and sensors.

The PMS/PSS can be deployed across naval aircraft, UAVs, and maritime platforms to detect oil spills, chemical discharges, and hazardous pollutants in real-time. Brig MS Rana of Optimare India expressed that this collaboration marks the beginning of a long-term technology and industrial partnership. Pavan Ranga, Managing Director of Rangsons Aerospace, echoed this sentiment, calling it a mission of national importance. Rangsons Aerospace will serve as the production hub, ensuring scalability, lifecycle support, and alignment with the Government of India's Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.

The collaboration between Rangsons Aerospace and Optimare India is set to enhance India's pollution monitoring capabilities. The advanced PMS/PSS, developed and produced through this partnership, will play a crucial role in protecting India's marine environment and supporting its offshore wind energy sector.
