Rapha's Pro Team Shadow Collection Revolutionizes Winter Cycling

Rapha is set to revolutionise winter cycling with the relaunch of its Pro Team Shadow collection, available from October 2025. The high-performance range, tested by EF Education-TIBCO-SVB riders, boasts a new PFAS-free membrane for breathability and protection against wind and rain.

The redesign focuses on high-intensity winter training rather than foul weather racing. Rapha has exclusively used a new proprietary, single-layer, micro-pore membrane for the next few years, thanks to its development involvement. The kit has been rigorously tested in climate chambers and with rider feedback for waterproofing and breathability.

James Stannard, Rapha's Head of Product Management, revealed that the primary goal was comfort in changeable winter conditions. Riders Lachlan Morton and Alastair Mackellar praised the Shadow Gilet for its versatility and comfort in cooler weather. The new range replaces Rapha's Gore WindStopper line, offering long sleeve winter protection.

Rapha's updated Pro Team Shadow range, launching in October 2025, aims to keep cyclists comfortable and protected during winter training. With exclusive use of a new PFAS-free membrane and positive rider feedback, the collection is set to become a staple for cold-weather riding.
