Reddit User Boosts iPhone 17 Pro Max Performance with Innovative Cooling Solution

A Reddit user, T-K-Tronix, has shared an innovative cooling solution for the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The passive SSD heatsink device, developed and integrated by Apple, has significantly improved the phone's performance stability during stress tests.

T-K-Tronix's cooling contraption elevated the iPhone 17 Pro Max's Steel Nomad Light stress test stability score beyond 90% in 3D Mark's Stress Test. This is a significant improvement over the Max Tech baseline of 69.4%. The user suggests using the iPhone in a cage instead of a case for professional video recording to further enhance performance.

The iPhone 17 Pro models feature an aluminum wraparound unibody with a reduced glass back. Apple claims the vapor chamber cooling system used in the A19 Pro chip is 20 times better than the titanium used in previous iPhone Pro models. However, T-K-Tronix's cooling solution remains passive and may not be practical for everyday use.

T-K-Tronix's cooling solution has demonstrated impressive results, improving the iPhone 17 Pro Max's performance stability. While it may not be practical for everyday use, it shows potential for enhancing the device's capabilities, particularly during professional video recording.
