Registration Authority for Motor Vehicles in Greifswald Municipality
Greifswald City Administration has announced temporary restrictions on public access to the Motor Vehicle Registration Office, affecting both Tuesday, August 26, and Thursday, August 28, 2025. The city administration is urging citizens to make use of their online services as an alternative to in-person visits.
During this period, the Motor Vehicle Registration Office will be offering the iKfz Portal and the Online Application for Resident Parking Permit as options for completing administrative tasks online. These services enable citizens to carry out their tasks without visiting the office in person.
The iKfz Portal is a service provided by the Motor Vehicle Registration Office of Greifswald City Administration, designed to streamline administrative processes. Similarly, the Online Application for Resident Parking Permit is a service provided by the same office, allowing citizens to apply for and manage their parking permits online.
It is important to note that previously scheduled appointments at the Motor Vehicle Registration Office can still be kept on August 26 and 28, 2025. For citizens without an appointment during these days, wait times may be longer.
In light of these temporary restrictions, the city administration encourages citizens without an appointment to schedule one for a later date or to complete their administrative tasks online. The city administration thanks citizens for their understanding regarding these measures.
For more information about the Motor Vehicle Registration Office's online services, please visit the iKfz Portal or the Online Application for Resident Parking Permit on the Greifswald City Administration's website.
