Revolution unfolds in Alpine territory

In a bold move towards a new growth phase, French sports car brand Alpine has announced plans to launch 100% electric models from 2024. This ambitious strategy, revealed during the Alpine Future Tour, comes as part of the Renaulution plan and has seen significant growth for the brand since its launch.

Alpine's expansion is evident in the doubling of its sales outlets over the past two years, now standing at 140 as of 31 December 2022. The brand's strategic event, to take place at the Alpine F1 Team site in Enstone, UK, will provide further insights into this growth trajectory.

The event will also showcase the APP platform, which will underpin the future electric A110 and other upcoming models, such as the ground-breaking A110-based roadster and the new A310, a 4-seat sports coupe. The APP platform offers an innovative adjustable design, allowing for changes in length and width.

Alpine's electric push extends to the development of proprietary technologies. This includes a hydrogen internal combustion engine and the Alpine Dynamic Module (ADM). The brand aims to create an ecosystem with key partners like Renault Group, Ampere, Mobilize Financial Services, Google, Verkor, and others.

The brand's growth has not gone unnoticed, with Alpine entering the top 150 most valuable brands in France, worth €550 million. The A110, Alpine's most sold sports car in France and among the top 5 in Europe, has seen remarkable success, selling nearly 7 months worth of orders in 2023 alone.

Looking ahead, Alpine plans to launch seven new models by 2030. This includes a B-segment car based on the Renault 5 and Renault 4 CMFB-EV platform in 2024, a C-segment Crossover GT in 2025, and a 100% electric A110 by end 2026. From 2027, Alpine plans a world expansion phase, including the USA, to improve financial performance and brand value.

Alpine's growth is supported by new partners such as Otro Capital, RedBird Capital Partners, Maximum Effort Investments, and Alpine Select AG, the name of the investment company announced in 2023. The brand aims to be at break-even from 2026, with an operating margin of break-even and €2 billion revenues.

To gain a deeper understanding of Alpine's strategy, a press and investor field trip will be led by Luca de Meo, CEO of Renault Group, and Laurent Rossi, CEO of Alpine. For those who missed the Alpine Future Tour, a replay can be accessed via the provided link.

As Alpine continues its journey, its motorsports exposure will be increased through participation in the 2024 World Endurance Championship and Formula 1. With its focus on electric vehicles, innovative technology, and global expansion, Alpine is poised for an exciting future in the automotive industry.
