Rivian Unveils Autonomous Driving Capability for Second Generation R1S and R1T Models
In a significant move for electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers, Rivian has rolled out a software update for its R1 models, introducing hands-free driving capabilities on select U.S. highways. Given Rivian's in-house development of much of its vehicle control and autonomy technology, substantial sensor and computing upgrades may be needed for older vehicles.
