Sae-A Trading Boosts Americas Production with Swisstex Acquisition
Sae-A Trading has made a significant move in the apparel industry, acquiring key manufacturing operations from Swisstex. The deal, following Sae-A's successful integration of Tegra in 2024, bolsters its production network in the Americas.
Sae-A Trading, founded in 1986, specializes in OEM/ODM apparel manufacturing with a global supply chain. The company has acquired Swisstex's U.S. and El Salvador manufacturing facilities, including Swisstex Direct, LLC, and the renowned Swisstex El Salvador and Unique El Salvador sites. These facilities are known for their integrated production processes and sustainable practices.
Swisstex, established in 1996, is a leader in knitting, fabric dyeing, and finishing. Its U.S. and El Salvador operations will continue independently, with current management teams remaining in place. The acquisition enhances Sae-A Trading's capabilities in sports and performance apparel and strengthens its manufacturing footprint in the Americas.
The acquisition is a milestone for Sae-A Trading in its global expansion strategy and industry leadership. James Ha, CEO of Sae-A Trading, and Keith Dartley, President of Swisstex Direct, both expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, with Dartley highlighting the alignment of their values.
