Samsung introduces Android gaming revolution in the UK
Samsung has made a significant move in the gaming industry with the launch of its cloud gaming service, Samsung Cloud Gaming. The announcement was made during Gamescom, a renowned gaming show held in Cologne, Germany.
The purpose of Samsung's Cloud Gaming mission is to simplify the process of getting into new casual games, allowing gamers to explore top titles without the need to download. This service is now accessible via the Galaxy Store, through the Gaming Hub.
The demonstration of the Gaming Hub was also showcased at Gamescom, where it was revealed that Android icons in the Gaming Hub will have an additional badge to notify users about cloud-accessible games. The Gaming Hub will clearly define which games are cloud accessible via a separate tab.
Samsung Cloud Gaming is now available in the UK and Germany, expanding its reach from its initial launch in North America in 2024. This latest Android gaming revelation was previously not available in the UK.
Samsung plans to bring "more ways to discover games" and new innovations to the Mobile Gaming Hub in 2025. The company is redesigning Samsung Cloud Gaming to make it a central hub for gaming on Galaxy devices, aiming to provide a range of game discovery features and new content to make the Mobile Gaming Hub more intuitive, connected, and social.
In addition to the cloud gaming service, Samsung also showcased a new Xbox handheld console at Gamescom, and a Switch accessory that transforms it into a retro arcade machine.
As Samsung continues to innovate in the gaming space, it is clear that the company is committed to providing seamless gaming experiences for its users, making gaming more accessible and enjoyable on Galaxy devices.
