Solar & Storage Live 2023: Innovations and Growth in Swiss PV Market

The Solar & Storage Live trade fair in Zurich 2023 saw a variety of innovative solar and storage solutions, with a focus on local novelties and international exhibitors. While specific participating companies remain unidentified, several notable products were showcased.

The fair introduced Soltile's solar roof tiles, a local innovation designed to integrate seamlessly with existing architecture. Meanwhile, international exhibitors brought their latest offerings. Wattss AG displayed the modular 'Pixxi' commercial storage units from Norway, while Sigenergy exhibited its versatile SigenStor 5-in-1 storage solutions and the Sigen Hybrid WR inverter. Elektron AG showcased Solinteg's MHT50K-100 hybrid inverter, and Sungrow presented its advanced 1500 volt string inverters and energy storage systems. Risen Energy exhibited a range of energy storage units and solar modules, and Huayao PV showcased its Hyper B54 bifacial glass-glass module with back-contact cells and HW5 hail resistance certification.

The photovoltaic expansion in Switzerland is projected to decrease to 1.6 gigawatts in 2025 and stabilize from 2026. The Solar & Storage Live trade fair in Zurich 2025 attracted around 3200 participants and about 100 exhibitors, indicating growing interest in the sector. Swissolar predicts a 1.8 gigawatt photovoltaic expansion in 2024, reflecting the industry's continued growth and innovation.
