Arctos Sports Partners Bolsters Operating Advisory Team with Industry Experts

Arctos Sports Partners, a leading private equity fund in sports equity, has strengthened its advisory team with the addition of four new operating advisors. Among the new additions is Shane Battier, a retired professional basketball player renowned for his high-level on-court IQ and leadership. Battier's experience will inform team and player development strategies, providing valuable insights into the sports industry.

Jessica Gelman, another new advisor, is the CEO of Kraft Analytics Group and a former professional basketball player. Her background in sports franchise leadership and management brings operational and strategic expertise to Arctos, enabling effective building and scaling of sports businesses. Kraft Analytics' clients include notable entities such as the NFL, Philadelphia 76ers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Ticketmaster, On Location, and NASCAR.

Chris Grove, a sport betting expert and co-founder and partner at Acies Investments, is another new advisor. His background in sports analytics and business development supports data-driven decision-making in investments, ensuring that Arctos remains at the forefront of the sports industry.

Normand Legault, with experience in sports business or management roles, contributes to operational improvements and strategic growth. Prior to founding GFP1, a mergers and acquisition firm, Legault was a senior advisor to the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, managing more than half a trillion dollars of investments.

Together, these industry veterans bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to Arctos, helping the fund optimize the performance, growth prospects, and strategic development of its portfolio companies in sports and related sectors. The new operating advisors also include TJ Adeshola, Twitter global content partnership head, David Levy, Genius Sports chairman, Tim Leiweke, Oak View Group CEO, and Jessica Gelman, co-founder of the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference.
