Sygnum Bank Adopts SUI for Its Clients Following Its Role as Banking Associate for the Sui Foundation

Sygnum Bank extends support for SUI to its clients, securing a role as banking partner for the Sui Foundation.

Sygnum, a leading digital asset banking group, has announced the integration of SUI, a layer-one cryptocurrency, into its banking platform. This integration provides a range of services for institutional clients, including secure custody, trading, staking, and lending solutions for SUI.

With this move, Sygnum offers institutional-grade digital asset custody for SUI, ensuring secure storage and management of the cryptocurrency. The bank also provides spot and derivatives trading services for SUI, allowing clients to engage in various market strategies.

In the coming weeks, Sygnum plans to offer staking services for SUI, which will enable clients to participate in validating transactions on the Sui blockchain while earning rewards. The bank will also provide collateral-backed Lombard Loans, allowing clients to use SUI as collateral to access liquidity. This service is expected to enhance the utility of SUI holdings for institutional investors.

Sygnum's integration of SUI is designed to expand access to the Sui ecosystem for professional and institutional clients, leveraging Sygnum's regulated, bank-grade infrastructure. The integration aims to bridge the gap between digital assets and traditional financial systems, providing a trusted gateway for financial institutions and high net worth individuals to engage with SUI.

SUI, developed by a team of former Meta engineers at Mysten Labs, is an early leader in BTCfi (Bitcoin Finance), enabling Bitcoin owners to engage with DeFi and earn, lend, and trade without compromising security. The Sui blockchain is designed to support a variety of applications beyond just cryptocurrency transactions, including DeFi, instant payments, Real-World Asset (RWA) tokenization, and gaming.

Mathias Imbach, Sygnum Co-Founder and Group CEO, expressed his pleasure at being a banking partner for the Sui Foundation. Christian Thompson, Managing Director of the Sui Foundation, considers Sygnum an ideal banking partner.

Sygnum's unique understanding of digital assets sits at the intersection of the rapidly converging digital asset and regulated financial ecosystems. The Sui blockchain processes activity in parallel, making it highly scalable like Cloud services. The Sui blockchain is designed to deliver decentralized benefits with the ease of today's internet.
