Tata Motors Launches Nexon.ev Empowered +A 45: First Subcompact EV with ADAS
Tata Motors has launched the Nexon.ev Empowered +A 45, a subcompact electric vehicle (EV) packed with advanced auto features and a premium price tag. This is the first EV in its class to offer a Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).
The Nexon.ev Empowered +A 45 retains the 143 bhp, 215 Nm electric motor from its predecessor, offering a real-world range of 350-370 km. It is based on the top-spec 45 kWh model and comes with a lifetime HV battery warranty for the first owner.
The ADAS includes safety features like traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, and autonomous emergency braking. These additions enhance the vehicle's safety and convenience, making it a standout choice in the subcompact EV segment.
Tata Motors has also introduced two exclusive Dark editions, priced at ₹17.49 lakh. These models feature an all-black exterior, bolstered leatherette seats, and bespoke UI themes, providing a luxurious touch to the EV.
The Nexon.ev Empowered +A 45 is priced at ₹17.29 lakh (ex-showroom), a ₹30,000 premium over the previous Nexon.ev Empowered + 45. Despite the higher price, the new variant offers advanced auto parts and a lifetime battery warranty, making it an attractive option for EV enthusiasts seeking a feature-rich, safe, and reliable subcompact EV.
