TCL Introduces a New QD-Mini LED TV with Precise Dimming and Compatible Soundbar
TCL has unveiled its latest offerings in the 2025 TV market, introducing the QM8K QD-Mini LED TV and the new Q65H 5.1 Channel Atmos soundbar.
Pioneering QM8K QD-Mini LED TV
The QM8K succeeds the QM851G and sports TCL's innovative CrystGlow WHVA Panel with ZeroBorder. It combines this new panel technology with the picture accuracy of the Halo Control System, delivering HDR impact from up to 35% more dimming zones and up to 65% higher peak brightness than its previous series. The television also boasts Audio by Bang & Olufsen for exceptional sound quality.
The QM8K is the first Precise Dimming Series TV to incorporate the new CrystGlow WHVA Panel with ZeroBorder. This high contrast anti-reflective panel offers an ultra-wide viewing angle, virtually eliminating color shift, with a 40% wider color viewing angle than its predecessor. The ZeroBorder design revolutionizes TV panel design by reducing the total width of the TV's bezel and border to just 3-4mm. It achieves this through the use of special TV and panel materials and design.
The Halo Control System in the QM8K provides several benefits, including enhanced color accuracy, enhanced gray scale accuracy, and virtually no blooming, resulting in more natural and stunning picture quality. It uses a Super High Energy LED Chip for high brightness and increased light efficiency, a Super Condensed Micro Lens for more precise light control, and TCL Micro OD to avoid light overlap and produce clear, sharp edges between bright whites and dark blacks.
The QM8K's enhanced QD-Mini LED backlight technology works in conjunction with a high contrast WHVA Panel to block out more of the light when the LCD closes, providing up to five times better native contrast. Furthermore, enhanced QLED technology combines a new Color Optimization Algorithm with more vibrant Quantum Crystals for significantly improved color accuracy.
Critical to premium picture quality, processing also receives an upgrade in the QM8K with Zero-Delay Transient Response for virtually no lag between the input signal and backlight response. The Halo Control System includes a Bi-Directional 23-bit Backlight Controller for granular control of over 65,000 levels of brightness for each LED, elevating grayscale accuracy. Additionally, the system incorporates a Dynamic Light Algorithm (DLA) that intelligently optimizes the incoming video to render SDR signals at near HDR level.
The QM8K also benefits from Audio by Bang & Olufsen for exceptional sound quality. Cosmetically, it features a thinner, flatter cabinet design for truly flush wall mounting and an elegant pedestal stand for home theater furniture placement.
The new TCL QM8K is available at Best Buy in a 65-inch model for $2,299.99 MSRP and an 85-inch model for $3,799.99 MSRP. Additional sizes, including a 75-inch for $2,999.99 MSRP and a 98-inch for $6,499.99 MSRP, will be available next month.
Rich Audio with Q65H Soundbar
The Q65H complements TCL's TVs by delivering rich audio with a new Q Class soundbar model. This 5.1-channel Dolby Atmos soundbar comes with a wireless subwoofer for a truly immersive experience. Wrapped in a modern design, it incorporates TCL's premium Q Class speaker drivers with 290 audio watts RMS (580 watts max power).
