Tesla's New FSD Update Enables Automatic Parking
Tesla has rolled out a significant software update, enabling vehicles to automatically find and park themselves upon reaching a destination. This new feature, part of the Full Self-Driving (Supervised) version 14.1, is currently available in North America and gradually expanding to other regions.
The update, 2025.32.8.5, introduces 'Arrival Options', allowing drivers to select where the car should park. The system has improved responsiveness, starting faster and remembering preferences for parking positions. Early access testers and some customers have already received the update, with positive feedback on its usability.
FSD 14.1 also includes enhanced handling for emergency vehicles, better detour navigation, and a new 'Sloth' Speed Profile for more cautious driving. The car's visualization glows blue when FSD is engaged, serving as an intuitive cue for active self-driving. Videos show the system autonomously parking in open Supercharger spots and at user-pinned locations on the navigation map.
This release marks a substantial advancement for Tesla's Full Self-Driving technology since version 12. Elon Musk has confirmed that versions 14.2 and 14.3 will follow in the coming weeks, suggesting more improvements are on the way. The gradual rollout allows Tesla to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments before wider release.
