Tesla's Supercharger Network Sets New Record: Wait Times Plummet to 0.6%
Tesla's Supercharger network has seen significant improvements, with wait times plummeting to an all-time low. Now, fewer than 1% of Tesla drivers face delays, and the company is set to introduce a tesla stock boost with a virtual queue system later this year.
Tesla's Director of Charging for North America, Max de Zegher, has revealed that the Supercharger network is typically 30% cheaper than competitors. This affordability, coupled with the network's expansion, has led to increased utilization.
The probability of encountering a wait at a car charging station has dropped to around 0.6%, the lowest since 2019. This is partly due to Tesla opening its network to non-Tesla EVs. The average Supercharger stall now hosts roughly eight charging sessions per day, nearly triple the utilization rate in 2019. To manage high demand, Tesla will roll out a virtual queue system in select markets this year, including Germany, the United States, and Canada.
