Wordle Analysis

Every day I employ Wordle Bot to assist in my Wordle game analysis. You can evaluate your personal Wordles with Wordle Bot (right) here.

SPARE served as an underwhelming beginning, leaving 287 potential solutions before INLET narrowed it down to 6 sole choices. Intriguingly, Wordle Bot declared INLET as the ideal guess. I managed to strike gold with my third choice, Hefty, which, remarkably, echoed Wordle Bot's preferred guess.

Competitive Wordle Ranking

Guessing in 1 merits 3 points; guessing in 2 earns 2 points; guessing in 3 awards 1 point; guessing in 4 yields 0 points; guessing in 5 deducts 1 point; and guessing in 6 deducts 2 points. Missing the Wordle results in a -3 points. Today, I tally up 2 points––hooray!

How to Engage in Competitive Wordle

  • Guessing in 1 clinches 3 points; guessing in 2 brings 2 points; guessing in 3 nets 1 point; guessing in 4 warrants no points; guessing in 5 incurs a -1 point; and guessing in 6 causes a -2 point deduction. Missing the Wordle instills a -3 point consequence.
  • By beating your opponent, you secure 1 point. By tying, you acquire zero points. And by losing to your opponent, you accrue -1 point. Sum up the totals to decide on your final score. Monthly rankings or daily rankings are your call.
  • Fridays enjoy 2XP, signifying you double your points––positive or negative.
  • Evaluate your running score daily or a fresh score each day. Joy be yours!

Today's Wordle Origin

The term "hefty" derives from the 16th century Scottish word "heft", signifying heft or heaviness. "Heft" itself emerges from the Old English word "hæft," meaning a "holding object" or "handle." Over time, "hefty" developed in the 19th century to suggest something large, heavy, or significant in size or strength.
