Trump Mobile Joins Budget Wireless Race With $47.45 Unlimited Plan

Budget-conscious consumers have several affordable wireless carrier options in the US, with popular MVNOs (Mobile Virtual Network Operators) like Mint Mobile, Cricket Wireless, and Metro by T-Mobile leading the market. These providers offer plans starting around $15 per month, significantly lower than the average monthly price of $141 in 2024. Now, a new entrant, Trump Mobile, is set to join the fray with its own budget-friendly plans.

Trump Mobile, powered by Liberty Mobile Wireless LLC, will offer a $47.45 per month plan with unlimited talk, text, and data, no contract, and no credit check. This plan, while not specifying exact coverage and speeds, aligns with other MVNOs that often have fewer frills, such as limited data usage and capped speeds during peak times. However, customers can expect to pay less than half the average monthly price by switching to a budget carrier.

Trump Mobile's first device, the T1 Phone, is priced at $499 and will be available in September 2025. The phone is designed and built in the USA, offering an affordable option for budget-conscious consumers. Other budget mobile providers, like Metro by T-Mobile, Cricket Wireless, Boost Mobile, and Visible, also operate under similar models, leasing network access from major providers like Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile.

With the launch of Trump Mobile, consumers now have even more choices among budget wireless carriers. These providers offer significant savings compared to major network providers, with plans starting around $15 per month. While MVNOs may have some limitations in terms of data usage and peak speeds, they remain an attractive option for those looking to cut their phone bills significantly.
