SharpLink Gaming Set to Expand in US Online Gambling Markets

SharpLink Gaming, a leading performance marketing company in the US online sports betting and iGaming industry, is gearing up for expansion in key regulated markets. The company, which holds significant cryptocurrency assets, recently secured a $400 million registered direct offering with global institutional investors to fuel growth and expansion efforts.

The states targeted for expansion include Maryland, Ohio, and Massachusetts, where sports gambling markets are expected to be regulated starting from January 2023 in Massachusetts and Ohio, and as early as November 2022 in Maryland.

SharpLink's strategic expansion plan is not limited to these states. The company's broader strategy aims at growth in regulated US sports betting and iGaming markets, leveraging digital marketing and partnerships. Their focus on these states aligns with the growing legalization and market opportunity there.

In addition to its financial strength, SharpLink is implementing a Direct-to-Player (D2P) strategy under the leadership of Tori Roberts, Vice President of Affiliate Marketing. This strategy aims to achieve increased sports bettor engagement, website engagement, and new user traffic and acquisitions for their partners.

SharpLink has been working with a number of sports betting providers, delivering warm and hot leads as part of their gambling affiliate programs in the USA for over three years. Recently, they launched 15 gambling affiliate sites in various states across the USA, including Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

The company's expansion strategy also includes the acquisition of FourCubed, a move that added more than $8 million to SharpLink's capital.

Eddy Cheung, who shared a personal anecdote about his experiences in Kai Tak, Hong Kong's gambling city, returned to the location at age 21 and found it as magical as he remembered. His first visit to Kai Tak at age 9 left a lasting impression on him.

Rob Phythian, CEO at SharpLink, leads the company's efforts to achieve a significant head start on their competitors in the field. The company's strategic moves, including the recent financial injection and the focus on key regulated markets, suggest that SharpLink is well-positioned for growth in the US online gambling market.

While precise launch dates are not detailed, the financial and operational positioning indicate imminent market entries in the named states. SharpLink may also target further expansion if more state legislatures vote to regulate online gambling in 2023 and beyond.

SharpLink Gaming, utilizing affiliate marketing and technology, is aiming to engage sports bettors and increase website traffic in the expansion states of Massachusetts, Ohio, and Maryland, which are set to legalize sports gambling markets starting from January 2023 in Massachusetts and Ohio, and as early as November 2022 in Maryland. As part of their broader strategy, SharpLink aims to expand in regulated US sports betting and iGaming markets, using digital marketing and partnerships, leveraging recent financial investments of over $400 million.
