Oben's Next-Gen Rorr EZ: A Commuter-Focused Electric Motorcycle with Advanced LFP Battery Technology
Oben is set to launch its next-generation electric motorcycle, the Rorr EZ, on August 5, 2025. The motorcycle, scheduled for deliveries from August 15, 2025, will feature Oben's proprietary Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery technology, known for its 50% higher heat resistance and double the lifespan compared to previous models.
The Rorr EZ comes in three variants, each with different battery capacities: 2.6 kWh, 3.4 kWh, and 4.4 kWh, priced at ₹99,999, ₹1,19,999, and ₹1,29,999 respectively.
The Rorr EZ offers a top speed of approximately 95 km/h and boasts a range of up to 175 km on a full charge for the 3.4 kWh variant. It can accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, ensuring quick acceleration for urban commuting.
The motorcycle is equipped with a fast-charging capability, reaching 80% charge in about 45 minutes. A full charge, taking approximately 2 hours, is possible for some variants.
The Rorr EZ is designed with a digital instrument console, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity, Geo-fencing, anti-theft alarm, unified braking system (UBA), roadside assistance, GPS, rider alert system, multiple riding modes (Eco, City, Havoc), split seating, passenger footrest, and a mobile application for connectivity.
Oben emphasises retaining the commuter-friendly aspects of the bike while introducing upgrades for enhanced daily usability. The styling will largely retain the design language of the current model with some bold updates.
The Rorr EZ will be available in four colours: Electro Amber, Surge Cyan, Lumina Green, and Photon White.
The Rorr EZ runs on Oben's proprietary ARX platform and in-house developed LFP battery technology, promising consistent reliability across India's diverse riding conditions.
In addition to the Rorr EZ, Oben is also working on the Oben O100 Platform, a modular system that will allow for the seamless integration of emerging technologies and infrastructure upgrades. The Oben O100 Platform, which underpins sub ₹1 lakh models, was introduced by Oben earlier this year and has been developed in-house at the brand's R&D centre in Bengaluru.
The upcoming Oben O100 is expected to be priced at ₹99,000. More details about the Oben O100 will be revealed in the coming months.
