Upcoming September Launch of Refurbished M7 Sports Utility Vehicle by Aito, Funded by Huawei
New Aito M7 BEV Set for September 2025 Launch with Enhanced Features
Aito, the joint venture between Huawei and Seres Group, is gearing up for the launch of an updated version of their popular M7 SUV. The new BEV variant of the M7 is scheduled to hit the market in September 2025.
The updated M7 BEV will boast a 100 kWh battery pack, offering an electric driving range exceeding 700 kilometers. This impressive range is made possible by Huawei’s high-voltage electric drive platform, which improves efficiency, reduces weight, size, and noise. The updated model also incorporates Huawei's ADS 4 smart driving system, including a 192-channel roof-mounted LiDAR with a detection range of 250 meters, a rear-facing solid-state LiDAR, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 11 cameras for enhanced autonomous driving capabilities.
Key specifications for the updated M7 BEV include a larger size compared to its predecessor, with dimensions of 5,080 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,780 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 3,030 mm. The vehicle will be available in both five-seat and six-seat seating layout options.
Pricing details for the updated M7 BEV have not been announced yet. However, previous Aito M7 models have been priced competitively within the Chinese market for luxury electric SUVs. The currently available Aito M7 ranges from RMB 249,800 to RMB 329,800.
The updated M7 BEV's launch comes after the successful introduction of the Aito M7 Pro series and the overwhelming response to the updated Aito M8 EV, which received over 15,000 orders within 72 hours of going on pre-sales. The updated M7 is also expected to enter the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's regulatory filing directory soon.
