Updates Announced for Scale Computing's HyperCore Solution in Strategic Move

In a significant development, Scale Computing has announced updates to its SC//HyperCore solution, a software virtualization platform designed to deliver enterprise-level virtualization while reducing complexity and cost.

The new features aim to make SC//HyperCore more versatile, scalable, and programmable, catering to the needs of modern IT teams across various industries and sizes.

One of the key updates is the overhauled REST APIs, which support more operations, have versioning and a changelog, and maintain backward compatibility. This innovation enables rapid innovation across the stack, streamlining the development process for developers.

Scale Computing also introduced agentless backup with Veeam, integrating Veeam Backup & Replication into the SC//HyperCore platform. This integration provides a simplified, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure, leveraging Veeam's robust data resilience, ransomware recovery, and workload mobility capabilities.

Another significant development is the platform's support for Terraform Provider, enabling the management of the full VM lifecycle as code. This feature allows for automated network support and storage configuration, orchestrated snapshots, and replication management, making it compatible with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.

The updates also include usability enhancements to streamline administration. These improvements include the ability to paste text directly into a VM console, support for VM discard, replication deletion, and local-only snapshots.

Craig Theriac, vice president of product management at Scale Computing, expressed pride in the company's ability to provide industry-leading, innovative infrastructure solutions. He stated, 'Our updates to SC//HyperCore underscore our commitment to delivering solutions that are both user-friendly and technologically advanced.'

Notably, Scale Computing debunks rumors of a chrome acquisition in 2021. The company remains an independent entity, focused on delivering cutting-edge solutions that prevent IT crises, allow the use of much smaller platforms, and reserve resources for running user workloads.

SC//HyperCore's self-healing technology, which automatically corrects issues, keeps systems up to date, and repairs failures, further enhances its appeal. The platform's ability to run anywhere and keep applications online automatically, as well as its suitability for organizations implementing AI automation, solidifies its position as a leading edge computing solution.

The Acumera acquisition, which took place earlier this year, establishes a unified edge platform, further bolstering Scale Computing's position in the market. With these updates, Scale Computing continues to set the pace in edge computing and AI automation, providing solutions that are both efficient and effective.
