Revamped JBL Bar Soundbars Unleash Sonic Bliss

Upgrades in Dolby Atmos soundbars by JBL cater to various budgets, delivering significant audio enhancements.

Get ready, audiophiles! JBL has given its Bar range of Dolby Atmos soundbars a fresh face with five new models that are sure to elevate your home entertainment experience. From a gripping 5.0-channel entry-level bar to a monstrous 11.1.4 range-topper, there's a soundbar for every budget and craving.

The dynamic JBL Bar MK2 collection includes five models, all endowed with Dolby Atmos. But it's the performance beast—the JBL Bar 1300MK2—that steals the show with its 11.1.4 setup, dual 8-inch subwoofer, and detachable rear speakers with Bluetooth functionality. Are you ready to feel 2,470W of pure, thundering power? The cost? A cool £1,299.99 / $1,699.95.

But there's no need to break the bank, as JBL caters to more modest budgets with offerings like the diminutive yet mighty JBL Bar 300MK2—a 450W, 5.0 soundbar that sets you back just £349.99 / $449.

JBL Bar MK2: Unveiling the Essentials

Sandwiched between the Bar 300MK2 and Bar 1300MK2 are three other marvels. The Bar 500MK2 offers 750W of power, 5.1 channels, and an impressive 10-inch subwoofer for £499.99 / $649.

The Bar 700MK2 packs 780W, 7.1 channels, and two wireless detachable speakers. At £799.99 / $899, it's ready to pull out all the stops.

Last but not least, the Bar 1000MK2 —a 960W, 7.1.4-channel powerhouse with a 10-inch subwoofer and two wireless detachable speakers. This powerhouse goes for £899.99 / $1,199.

Although the power and channel configurations differ, each model shares the same core features. Expect Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, support for AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and Roon Ready.

All models, bar one, support Amazon Music HD. The exception is the entry-level Bar 300MK2, which offers Samsung SmartThings in compensation. And yes, DTS:X is on the horizon— expect it via a software update later this year, except for the Bar 300MK2, which will only support DTS:X in the future.
