Vintage Mobile Phones: Motorola DynaTAC & Nokia Models Fetch Thousands

Mobile phones, once discarded as outdated, are now fetching high prices among collectors. Some older models, such as the Motorola DynaTAC 8000x and vintage Nokias, have become highly valued. The first iPhone 15 also commands a significant price.

The Motorola DynaTAC 8000x, launched in 1983, is now worth around 8,000 euros. Prices on eBay range from 7,000 to 9,500 euros. A dealer is asking 39,000 euros for one with accessories, open to offers.

The Nokia 8110, released in 1996, is now worth about 3,000 euros for a new model. Prices drop significantly for used ones. Other old mobile phones, like the Nokia 8800 from 2005, are also valuable. A new Nokia 8800 can fetch around 800 euros, with special editions reaching up to 1,200 euros.

The Motorola International 3200, released in 1992, can still be worth between 100 and 600 euros on the collector's market, depending on its condition and packaging. The first iPhone, iPhone 2G, is now worth between 2,000 and 4,000 euros for an unused example.

Old mobile phones, once considered disposable, are now highly sought after by collectors. Prices vary depending on the model, condition, and packaging. Some, like the Motorola DynaTAC 8000x and vintage Nokias, can fetch thousands of euros.
