Virtual World Decentraland Announces Art Week 2025: TOUCH GRASS A Four-Day Immersive Experience Delving into Presence, Reflection, and Sensory Art within Digital Realms.
Decentraland, the community-driven social virtual world, is partnering with Digital Fashion Week (DFW) to showcase the future of virtual exhibitions. From September 24-27, 2025, Decentraland will host its Art Week, an immersive digital event that promises to redefine the boundaries of creativity and ownership in the digital realm.
The four-day event is more than just a showcase; it's a platform for education and empowerment for creators at every level. Day One focuses on what's possible in virtual worlds and how to start creating in Decentraland. Day Two explores how artists can gain recognition and be selected for virtual and mixed-reality shows. Day Three turns to AI, with partners CSM, ImagineArt, and Sloyd demonstrating how new tools can be used by anyone to create 3D, game-ready artworks. Day Four closes with a recap of the essential workshops and a party to celebrate the festival's close.
Over thirty leading artists will participate in Decentraland's Art Week 2025, including Johanna Jaskowska, Amber Vittoria, Micah Alhadeff, Clara Bacou, and Sara Shakeel. Their large-scale builds, such as Synthetic Rest, Where Her Thoughts Can Land, BloomSynth, Bloomfang, and The Forgotten Sense, will transform underused parcels into new cultural destinations across Decentraland.
Decentraland operates as an open-source, traversable world that encourages creativity, ownership, and innovation. It is governed by a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) and supported by a non-profit Foundation. After installation, users can log in, customize an avatar, and explore Art Week within Decentraland.
