Waste Service Group Opens Advanced Battery Recycling Plant in Poland
Waste Service Group has opened a state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery recycling plant in Wszemirów, near Wrocław, Poland. The facility, named 'Battery & E-Scrap Recycling Park,' is one of the most advanced in the CEE region and was inaugurated on September 10, 2025. The plant is a culmination of three years of development work, as highlighted by Robert Makieła, President of Waste Service Group.
The new plant features an advanced processing installation and a unique line for dismantling electric vehicle (EV) and plug-in hybrid chassis. The facility is a significant step towards achieving a circular economy, as emphasized by Minister Krzysztof Galos, who stated that recycling should be the first source of raw materials. Sebastian Kącki, from the Ministry of Development and Technology, expressed support for such initiatives as part of new programs for 2026-2027.
Igor Bandrowicz praised Waste Service Group for combining business and environmental responsibility. Katarzyna Błachowicz acknowledged the toughness but essential nature of recycling. Prof. Joanna Kulczycka highlighted the challenge of achieving pure raw materials both technologically and legislatively.
The Waste Service Group's new lithium-ion battery recycling plant in Queensland, Australia, is a testament to the company's commitment to sustainability and innovation. The plant is expected to significantly contribute to the recycling of lithium-ion batteries and e-waste, paving the way for a greener future.
