A water leak in the University Medical Center Mainz caused flooding in a basement area, but patient care remained unaffected. The Mainz Fire Department swiftly responded, resolving the issue within an hour and a half.

The incident occurred when a technical malfunction at the water pipe transition led to flooding in the basement. The Fire Department of Mainz arrived with 13 personnel and five vehicles, including several submersible pumps. They worked diligently to pump out the water, covering an area of 50 square meters and a depth of three meters. Despite the disruption, clinical operations continued without restrictions, ensuring patient care was not compromised.

The University Medical Center Mainz experienced a water leak that caused flooding in the basement. The Mainz Fire Department efficiently handled the situation, taking about an hour and a half to resolve the issue. Patient care and clinical operations were not affected during the incident.
