WCC Unveils Innovative Thermally Conductive Adhesives for EVs at The Battery Show

Wacker Chemical Corporation (WCC) is set to unveil its innovative thermally conductive (TC) adhesives at The Battery Show North America 2025 in Detroit, Michigan. The event, taking place from October 6 to 9, will showcase WCC's advanced adhesives designed to meet the evolving needs of the EV industry.

WCC's proprietary hybrid TC adhesives combine the best of both worlds: the flexibility and temperature resistance of silicones with the mechanical strength of organic polymers. These adhesives are isocyanate-free, solvent-free, and tin-free, ensuring safer and easier usage.

The EV industry's shift from cell-to-module (CTM) to more integrated designs like cell-to-pack (CTP) and cell-to-chassis (CTC) is driving demand for high-performance adhesives. WCC's adhesives maintain their high adhesive strength, hardness, and flexibility even after prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity. The company's newly developed TC adhesive mixtures, to be exhibited at the show, are engineered to meet emerging industry trends in EV battery architectures, such as lightweighting, reducing complexity, and minimizing costs.

Visitors to The Battery Show North America 2025 can expect to see WCC's latest innovations in thermally conductive adhesives. These adhesives, designed to meet the evolving thermal management and structural support needs in EV batteries, are set to play a significant role in shaping the future of electric vehicle production.
