Work-from-home independent consulting opportunity available

The city of Gütersloh is offering a unique service to homeowners who are considering installing solar panels on their roofs. The PV video advisory service, available until September 24, 2025, aims to provide guidance and advice on the installation and maintenance of photovoltaic systems for personal roofs.

This service, open to homeowners within the district, is being conducted via Zoom or Teams and lasts a maximum of 60 minutes. The solar experts commissioned by the city use the district-wide solar roof cadastre for their consultations.

The service is primarily aimed at owners of single or two-family houses who live in the object themselves. Private households can receive free, home-based advice on solar panel systems from these independent energy experts via video conference.

The PV video advisory service is part of the city's efforts to promote renewable energy and reduce carbon emissions. It is being offered in partnership with the ALTBAUNEU initiative of the district, and is a response to the increasing interest in renewable energy sources among homeowners.

The boom in photovoltaics is attributed to rising electricity prices, falling module prices, and increasing electricity consumption due to the switch to heat pumps and electric cars. The advice offered includes individual consultation, comparison of system concepts, electricity self-consumption, and profitability analysis.

Interested parties can register by phone at 05241 / 82-2129 and 05241 / 82-3919, or by email at umweltschutz@unsere Website. Further information on the action can be found at www.alt-bau-neu.de/kreis-guetersloh.

After registration, participants will receive access data and instructions for the video conference. The service is likely to be offered after the summer holidays, in September 2025.

In addition to advice on the installation of solar panels, the service also provides tips on energy collection and current funding programs. Owners and owner communities of partially or fully rented objects with up to four residential units can primarily be advised on the full feed-in of solar power into the public grid.

The city of Gütersloh and the ALTBAUNEU initiative are committed to making this service accessible to as many homeowners as possible. The two solar experts employed by the city for free video consultations on photovoltaic systems are from Herzebrock-Clarholz and ALTBAUNEU.

Take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about solar energy and how it can benefit your home. Register today for the PV video advisory service offered by the city of Gütersloh.
