Xenon, an automation specialist, broadens its horizons by growing its operations in Dresden, marking its investment in the future.
Xenon Automation Technology Invests in New Assembly Hall in Dresden
Xenon Automation Technology, a leading manufacturer of automated production systems, has announced an investment of 3.5 million euros in the construction of a new assembly hall in Dresden. This move is a clear vote of confidence in the region and a testament to the company's resilience and growth.
The new production hall is intended to improve logistics at the Dresden site, with shorter delivery routes and higher efficiency being the key goals. According to Sebastian Popp, Director of Production and Purchasing at Xenon, the new hall will halve the logistics effort.
The company has been continuously purchasing and developing assembly areas since 1994, and this latest investment is part of Xenon's strategic focus on the production of future technologies. Xenon's strategy encompasses the production of electronic components for renewable energies and sensors for autonomous driving, among others.
Managing Director Tobias Reissmann stated that it is necessary for Xenon to become more productive and efficient in a competitive environment. The new assembly hall is expected to centralize production at the Dresden site, contributing to this productivity and efficiency.
Xenon's resilience is attributed to its international setup and diversified strategy. The company has assembly facilities in various locations, including Dresden, China, and Mexico. Xenon currently employs approximately 325 employees at its Dresden site, 90 in China, and 55 in Mexico. The foreign sites of Xenon are growing rapidly.
The founder and first CEO of Xenon Automation Technology is Dr. Markus Schmidt. Under his leadership, Xenon has developed innovative assembly processes in partnership with Sunfire, a leading manufacturer of water electrolysis systems.
In 2024, Xenon Automation Technology achieved a record turnover of 88 million euros. The company serves customers overseas from its foreign sites, not only in service but also in development and production.
It is important to note that Xenon's investment is not related to the announced economic program of the federal government. The investment in the new hall has been planned for four years.
Xenon Automation Technology is committed to contributing to the advancement of renewable energy technologies and autonomous driving. With the construction of the new assembly hall in Dresden, the company is taking a significant step towards achieving these goals.
